Named after the practise of therapeutic horse riding, this collection is about working with healing crystals and mindfulness in balancing energy and creating a positive and enlightened psyche. Everything has energy and life is a transfer of these vibrations. As crystals have such a stable molecular structure, their vibrational energy is strong. It is said to help balance, purify and support our own vibrational energy, as it is not as corruptible as ours. A powerful tool of the physical dimension. If used consciously to transmit frequency (like in a radio) through thought and intention it may have a balancing, purifying and supportive response on the psyche and the body. This theory inspired me to work with the Buddhist meditation chakra energy centres of the body and their corresponding crystals. I also looked into other cultural practices of expanding or enlightening the psyche. One of which is that of the Psych rock music culture. They wore layers of necklaces and bangles with crystals, over shirts embroidered or hung with tassels. This is the basis of the Equine Psychotherapy collection, including the chakra pendant necklaces.
